It's A Knockout 2009 was great sucess for The Whitegate Charity Trust

Last year's event raised over £5,500 for the North West Air Ambulance Service and this years event has been every bit as sucessful too by raising over £6000 for this years charity.

This years event was in aid of  The Joshua Tree based in Northwich. The charity was set up by Lynda and David Hill after their son Joshua was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2004.The Charity have recently obtained planning permission to build a £650,000 holiday home and support centre Sandiway for children with terminal illnesses and parents to provide a free short break.

The weather shone down on the day at the Whitgate Football Ground and the public turned out in their hundreds to show support for this years event.

As well as the It's a Knockockout event other entertainment included a Mini Fun Fair, Activity Tent for the Children also LIVE! music entertained into the evening with a licenced bar too.

92.5 Cheshire FM Broadcast Live through the day. Presenter Sam Walton had his own impromtu fundraising stunt too.

                 

Sam was tied-up and the public were invited to throw buckets of ice cold water over him in return for a donation to The Joshua Tree Charity. Sam raise over £30 and received a good cooling down too.
