Ernie Welch:  
I have lived in Winsford since 1963, moving here from Sale; my mother was originally from Rooskey in County Roscommon in Ireland. I have been married to Mary since 1974 who originates from County Wexford and I have three children (grown up now) - Michael, Caroline and Kate.
I have been the Landlord of The Rifleman pub in Weaver Street for the past ten years and i have always had a massive interest in Irish music and have made many friends in the music and media industry over the years.


Roger Westwood:
I work in the plant hire industry for a day job and have loved Irish and traditional music since being a child. When the Pogues burst onto the scene in the 80s, it was the perfect sound for me - a mix of punk and Irish - lots of energy and something exciting, instead of synthesisers and all the new romantic stuff. I like to bring the more contemporary music of Ireland to the show, which results in some strange genres and artists!
