About me.........

I've been passionate about music from an early age and was first bitten by the radio bug around the age of eight when I listened to Radio Luxembourg and the pirate stations, especially Radio Caroline. I worked on hospital radio for a while and then co-founded a student radio station before joining Cheshire FM shortly after it went to air in 2007. Music wise pretty much anything goes and as well as the music I listened to when growing up in the 60s and 70s I've moved with the times and enjoy much of today's stuff too. I keep up to date with new music and I still listen to Radio 1 - but only when I'm out of the Cheshire FM area of course!!!

I'm a local lad, born and bred in Nantwich which makes me a 'Dabber' and maybe I'll return to my roots in Nantwich when the time comes - but thats not just yet! I live locally in Cheshire with my lovely partner Jo and one very mischievous cat who has a habit of opening and raiding the fridge! I love the county and I think the people are great - especially the ones listening to my shows! Away from the studio I enjoy my cars, keeping fit and active, good food - a nice steak with some chunky chips and a fresh salad goes down fine!! I also enjoy adding to my ever growing CD collection and digital music library - nearly 7000 titles at the last count!!

So, thats me - please check out my blog regularly to see what I've been getting up to when I'm not behind the mic!

About the show.........

Remember The Twist, Mods and Rockers, The Summer Of Love, Pounds Shillings and Pence? Did you watch 'Danger Man', 'Ready, Steady, GO!' and 'Hawaii Five - O' on T.V? Can you whistle the theme music to Z Cars? Then why not walk back and revive those memories with me every Sunday evening for the best of the 50s, 60s and 70s from 6.00 on Cheshire FM's Golden Years. Relive your first date or your coming of age and hear once again those songs that were top of the 'Hit Parade' - Merseybeat, Rock and Roll or classic ballads, theres something for everyone on The Golden Years - be there or be square, as they said back then!
